Job Summary
Assistant Residential Counselor in Lifeworks’ residential program provides direct care and support to adults with ID/DD. Responsibilities include hands-on care (showering, toileting, meal-time assistance), creating and implementing ISPs, counseling and education activities to develop functional academics, domestic skills, health and personal hygiene, social skills, communication, community mobility, self-esteem, and money management; facilitates coordination with family, guardians, and services, maintains confidential files, and performs case-management tasks. Requires a high school diploma or GED and experience with ID/DD; valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks are required. MAP certification is preferred. Required Qualifications
- Highschool Diploma/GED
- Experience working with Individuals with ID/DD
- Must be able to pass Fingerprint background check, CORI, DPPC and Driving background checks
- Valid Driver's License required
- MAP certification is preferred
