Assistant Residential Counselor with Lifeworks, supporting adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential program.Responsibilities include promoting health through routine and emergency care, providing hands-on direct care (showering, toileting, shaving, meal-time assistance), ensuring safe living environments, delivering education training, counseling, and assistance to achieve ISP goals across functional academics, domestic skills, health, hygiene, social and leisure skills, communication, community mobility, self-esteem, and money management. Develop, write, and present ISP and semi-annual assessments in collaboration with staff; provide transportation as needed; communicate with family, guardians, and advocates to coordinate programming; perform case management including maintaining confidential files and attending regular meetings. Requirements include experience with ID/DD, a high school diploma or GED, ability to pass required background checks, a valid driver’s license, and MAP certification is preferred.
