Job Summary
Assist Resident Engineer for STV's Transportation Group in Chicago by overseeing highway/bridge/facilities/rail construction projects from conception to closeout; ensure contract documents, specifications, and regulatory requirements are met by reviewing contractor submissions; identify nonconforming work and ensure timely corrective action; manage project documentation (RFIs, submittals, daily reports, change orders); monitor contractor performance, schedules, milestones, progress, and critical path; supervise inspectors/field technicians and coordinate with CTDOT and project stakeholders; prepare correspondence, reports, and recommendations on construction issues; on-site work required; valid driver's license. Preferred certifications and licenses listed include COMPASS/NetsTCP-related inspector certifications and other industry credentials.
Required Qualifications
- Professional Engineering License (PE) with 8 years of experience or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) with 10 years of experience
