Job Summary
Assistant Resident Engineer - Structural to support the structural engineering team on construction and development projects in Abu Dhabi, ensuring compliance with design specifications, building codes, and quality standards. Responsibilities include assisting in the design, analysis, and optimization of structural systems; conducting site inspections and preparing technical reports; supporting development and review of drawings, specifications, and construction documents using CAD/BIM; analyzing structural data and performing calculations; coordinating with project teams to resolve structural challenges; ensuring adherence to UAE and international codes; maintaining organized project files and QA records; coordinating material testing and quality control on construction sites; and preparing progress reports. Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (SAP2000, ETABS, AutoCAD, Revit), familiarity with UAE/international building codes, and strong communication skills in English are required. Preferred: BIM experience and prior site supervision or project coordination in the Middle East.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in structural analysis/design software (SAP2000, ETABS, AutoCAD, Revit)
- Familiarity with UAE and international building codes and standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Basic knowledge of construction management and site procedures
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and project coordination (preferred)
- Previous site supervision or quality assurance experience on structural projects (preferred)
- Experience working on construction projects in the Middle East region (preferred)
