Job Summary
Assistant Resident Engineer | Construction Inspector responsible for field inspections across NYC area projects, verifying contractor compliance with contract documents, preparing detailed inspection reports, updating as-built documentation, and supporting QA/QC and regulatory compliance on active construction sites in New York City.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline preferred
- NICET Level II or Level III Certification (in Construction Materials Testing, Highway Construction Inspection, or related discipline). Candidates without NICET Level II or III certification will not be considered.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing with no significant points.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification
- Familiarity with local construction standards, reporting requirements, and public contract administration
- Experience on projects involving NYC agencies (e.g., DOT, DEP, DDC, MTA)
