Job Summary
Assistant Resident Engineer at HNTB in Los Angeles area leads field management of contracts on large infrastructure projects, reviews drawings and installation procedures for constructability, coordinates with Architects and Engineers, monitors contractor progress, develops project scope and fee Estimates, prepares submittals and change orders, implements project delivery plans, supervises and mentors project teams, supports business development and client relationships, and may recruit staff. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 10 years of construction-related experience; may involve availability to work nights and weekends. Experience with multi-discipline mega projects, SDA/SCA delivery approaches, and familiarity with Caltrans/LA Metro is preferred. Strong leadership, coordination, cost control, risk management, and client communication skills are essential.
