Job Summary
Assistant Resident Care Director responsible for assisting residents with self-administration of medications under supervision, supporting the Resident Care Director with administrative and clinical tasks, scheduling, training team members, and addressing resident/family/employee concerns. Key duties include updating resident information, reviewing orders in the Electronic Health Record, managing timecard exceptions, coordinating shift coverage, producing and posting staff schedules, monitoring medication processes, sending physician orders for review, updating functional evaluations and elopement risk, auditing documentation, assigning duties, ensuring adherence to Eskaton policies and safety standards, and providing companion care and basic resident assistance (bathing, dressing, meal support, transportation to appointments) while promoting independence and safety. Requires strong communication, teamwork, patient care skills, familiarity with care plans, and the ability to work within RCFE rules; starting pay ranges from $30.30 to $37.00 per hour, with proivded benefits and growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or G.E.D preferred
- Six (6) months’ experience in providing personal care in an RCFE or other long-term care setting preferred
- Valid/current first aid certification
