Job Summary
Conduct daily supervision of DSPs, monitor implementation of Circle of Support plans and behavior strategies, and ensure weekly community inclusion activities. Oversee medical needs, diet and nutrition, and facility safety including fire drills and van maintenance. Manage staff scheduling, conduct performance evaluations, train new employees, and document incidents and reports per OPWDD standards. Coordinate with healthcare providers, maintain accurate logs, and act as Residence Manager during absences. Requires valid NYS driver's license, AMAP/CPR certifications, and experience with developmental disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- Valid and clean NYS Driver's License
- Ability to respond to emergencies professionally and effectively
- Must obtain and maintain AMAP, CPR, First Aid, and SCIP-R certifications
- Lift more than 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in human services
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or traumatic brain injuries
- Knowledge of OPWDD regulations and Justice Center requirements
