Job Summary
Assistant Relationship Manager supports Relationship Managers in end-to-end management of client relationships with a strong focus on documentation quality, risk and compliance responsibilities, credit support, and reporting. Coordinates client onboarding, serves as a key interface between clients and internal departments to ensure efficient service delivery, and supports preparation of credit proposals in line with lending policies. Tracks business pipeline and performance, prepares regular reports, maintains audit-ready client records, and ensures AML/CFT compliance. Takes ownership of client-related risks, assists with day-to-day operational tasks, and contributes to team effectiveness. Requires proficiency in KYC/AML, English and Maltese communication, and MS Office in a fast-paced, client-driven banking environment.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or higher in Finance, Banking or related field
- 3-5 years' experience in banking
- Solid experience in credit analysis, financial statement interpretation, and lending practices
- Proficiency in KYC, AML/CFT compliance, and risk monitoring standards
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills in English and Maltese
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and multitasking abilities, with sound judgment under pressure
- Proficiency in MS Office and mainstream banking systems
- A proactive and commercially minded individual who thrives in a fast-paced, client-driven environment
