Job Summary
Lead and assist in managing the Therapy Department under the Rehab Director, overseeing day-to-day operations, productivity, and scheduling; maintain current therapy caseload and discipline-specific job descriptions; lead weekly rehab meetings; assist in staff orientation, policy procedures, and billing processes; manage MDS Rehab Data, Rehab Optima reporting, RUGs accuracy, and PCC integration; assign patients to therapists and generate Daily Activity Reports; require licensed PT/OT/ST with Master’s or Associate degree and at least 2 years of clinical therapy experience; capable of lifting objects up to 50 pounds; location: Shreveport, LA; in-person position with facility duties and collaboration across rehab team.
Required Qualifications
- Credentialed graduate of an accredited physical, occupational or speech therapy program with an Associate or Master’s degree and licensed in the state where practicing.
- two years minimum clinical experience as a practicing therapist
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work inside with exposure to some disagreeable conditions
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, PT, OT, ST, restorative staff, and facility staff in general.
