Job Summary
Assistant Quarry Manager responsible for supporting day-to-day quarry operations, planning and scheduling production (including blasting, crushing, screening and stockpiling), overseeing safety, quality and environmental compliance, managing budgets and inventory, supervising quarry personnel and contractors, maintaining records, and contributing to long-term planning and rehabilitation under the Quarry Manager. Requires leadership, knowledge of quarry processes, health, safety & environmental regulations, problem-solving, and strong communication skills; role includes deputising for the Quarry Manager when required.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Quarry Management (Desirable)
- NVQ Level 4/5 in Health, Safety & Environmental Management (Desirable)
- Valid UK driver's license (Essential)
