Job Summary
Assistant Quantity Surveyor (Procurement) role within Severn Trent’s Capital Commercial team. You’ll gain hands-on experience across sourcing, contract management and project delivery, working with project managers, engineers and supply chain partners. The role supports commercial delivery of projects and contracts, assisting with sourcing activity, supplier engagement, tender processes, negotiations, and reviewing supplier costs to ensure value for money. You’ll develop experience in cost management, commercial processes and contracts, with structured development and opportunities to pursue professional qualifications (CIPS or RICS). Offices in Coventry, Derby, and Shrewsbury with a focus on early-career progression in procurement/commercial settings, under the guidance of a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Some exposure to procurement, commercial or project environments
- Experience working with suppliers or supporting sourcing activity is helpful
- A willingness to learn and develop in a structured environment
- Working towards or interested in a professional qualification such as CIPS or RICS
- Degree or equivalent experience desirable
