Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary
Support the commercial team with daily cost management tasks, including tracking costs, assisting with valuations and variations, and maintaining project records. Work closely with project teams and subcontractors while supporting reporting and overall budget control. Assist with tender submissions, contract administration, and subcontract procurement. Process subcontractor payments, maintain financial records, and prepare monthly valuations in line with project requirements. Gain exposure to programme requirements and ensure contractual obligations and notices are maintained. Support the commercial team through design and pre-construction stages, including engagement with suppliers and maintaining accurate documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work within a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Willingness to learn and develop within a commercial environment
- Relevant qualification (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or similar
Desired Qualifications
- Basic understanding of construction or M&E projects
- Previous experience in an administrative or construction-related role
