Job Summary
The Assistant Publication Manager will work closely with the Curriculum Manager to manage publication processes, ensuring deadlines are met and publications are edited for style consistency. Responsibilities include overseeing copyediting, producing Sabbath School music, managing podcast production, engaging with web developers, and maintaining social media presence for Alive in Jesus. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in English, Religion or Education, with experience in project management and writing, and demonstrate knowledge of Adventist beliefs. A thorough understanding of educational material production processes is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s (BA/BS) degree with major in English, Religion or Education
- Experience in project management
- Minimum of four years successful experience in writing and/or education
- Knowledge of principles, policies, and beliefs of the General Conference and the Church
- Sufficient theological knowledge and background in church doctrines and Adventist heritage
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree in English/Religion/Education related field
- Six (6) credit hours in curriculum development
- Previous editorial experience
- Experience as a published writer
- Experience or background in education related field
Additional Requirements
- Must be a member in regular standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
- Must maintain a regular and reliable work schedule
