Job Summary
Assist the Personal Training Manager by onboarding and mentoring new personal trainers, act as a right-hand support in delivering coaching, scheduling, and performance reviews, lead group and individual training sessions when PTM is unavailable, coach staff on client consultations, optimize appointment setting and prospecting, reinforce club policies, manage trainer schedules, and contribute to revenue growth through Personal Training package sales. The role requires facilitating onboarding for new trainers, understanding Trainerize, maintaining client engagement via social media, leading safety-conscious group workouts, delivering pre-designed workouts to groups, and being prepared to train toward evolving responsibilities in the Personal Training Manager role. Location is Madison, MS, with work hours including early mornings, late evenings, and some weekends, and travel may be required as described.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required
- 2- or 4-year degree in an exercise science or related field is preferred
- Must hold a current fitness certification from ACSM, ACE, NASM, NCSA, AFFA, NFPT (NCCA Certified)
- CPR/AED certification
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience as a Certified Personal Trainer
- Ability to pass a Strength and Conditioning Assessment
- Ability to multi-task and coordinate with PT Manager
- Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics
- Ability to train all fitness levels
- Social media presence and engagement skills
- Team collaboration and autonomous work capability
