Job Summary
Assistant Personal Training Manager supports the Personal Training Manager in onboarding new trainers, mentoring staff, and stepping in when the PTM is unavailable. Responsibilities include coaching trainers on consultations, helping staff run effective prospecting and appointment setting, ensuring adherence to personal training policies (including cancel/freeze policies), conducting session quality reviews, teaching new trainers Trainerize, assisting with social media responsibilities, filling client schedules, developing monthly trainer business plans and reporting, delivering floor- hours activities and consultations, and driving revenue through personal training package sales. The role leads group workouts, ensures participant safety and accommodations, participates in weekly/monthly meetings, and acts as a fitness leader within the community. Required qualifications include current CPR/AED and a recognized fitness certification, with a high school diploma or equivalent and a preference for a degree in exercise science. Travel and varied hours (early mornings, late evenings, weekends) are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Experienced Certified Personal Trainer with previous experience
- Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics
- Pass a personal training Strength and Conditioning Assessment
- Detail- and results-oriented with high degree of professionalism
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
- Ability to train all fitness levels
- Strong social media presence
- CPR/AED certification
- Current fitness certification from ACSM, ACE, NASM, NCSA, AFFA, NFPT (NCCA Certified)
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within teams
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required; 2- or 4-year degree in an exercise science or related field is preferred
