Job Summary
Conduct assessments and interventions for children with special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and social emotional mental health difficulties, under the direction of a qualified psychologist. Build relationships with young people to support therapeutic living and learning environments within a multi-disciplinary clinical team. Engage in individualised engagement strategies based on clinical formulation to help young people achieve positive changes. Work within a 220+ strong team providing unrivalled clinical support across specialist schools and children's homes.
Required Qualifications
- A degree (or equivalent) in Psychology
- Your degree should include components relating to young people and mental health or autism
- You'll have worked with young people who have developmental trauma and/or neurodevelopmental needs e.g. autism, SEMH and ADHD
- The resilience to be able to deal with challenging situations
- A 'can do' attitude – a team player who rolls up their sleeves to help others
- honesty and empathy is a must
