Job Summary
Assist Property Manager in overseeing a mixed LIHTC, HOME, and PBS8 community of up to 267 units plus 1 commercial space in Chelsea, MA and Revere, MA. Responsibilities include monitoring collections, posting rent payments, enforcing the collection policy, processing leasing (tours, applications, recertifications, lease renewals), delivering exceptional customer service, addressing resident issues, supporting physical and financial management, and acting as Property Manager in the Manager's absence. Prepare financial reports and resident communications; manage accounts payable flow; coordinate with vendors. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, less than 1 year of related and supervisory experience, LIHTC/PBS8 experience, a valid driver’s license, strong Microsoft Office skills, excellent communication and customer service abilities, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Bilingual English/Spanish, experience with Yardi or RealPage, and HUD/LIHTC certifications are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Less than 1 year of relevant work experience
- Less than 1 year of supervisory experience
- Experience with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and Project Based Section 8 (PBS8) programs
- A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet driving records standards
- Experience with various computer systems, including Microsoft Office
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Superb attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and be trained
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people and personalities
