Job Summary
Assistant Property Manager for market-rate properties in the Minneapolis metro area. The role is contract-to-hire (90 days before conversion) with 167 market-rate units at one property and 160+ units at another, including one luxury property. Responsibilities include building positive tenant relationships, overseeing maintenance requests, showing properties, preparing and executing legally compliant lease agreements, managing financial procedures (rental income verification, payments, default protocols), maintaining records, coordinating unit turns and promotions, screening applicants, supporting price/promotions in line with market, ensuring tenant retention, meeting deadlines, budget adherence, communicating property conditions and improvements, coordinating with management on inspections, supervising staff, and coordinating with marketing for online presence. Requires at least 2 years in property management, strong organizational skills, AppFolio experience preferred, and ability to work Mon-Fri 8:30-5:30 with one Saturday/month; valid driver’s license and background check.
