Job Summary
Assistant Real Estate Manager supports the Real Estate Manager in daily operations of assigned communities, including financial administration, compliance, leasing support, and resident relations. Responsibilities include processing rent payments and maintaining resident ledgers, managing delinquency and payment plans, assisting with eviction processes and monthly financial reporting, supporting LIHTC/HUD/Section 8 compliance, processing applications, leases, move-ins/move-outs, coordinating with maintenance on work orders, tracking occupancy and compliance metrics, and supporting team training and operational execution. Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail in financials and compliance, and proficiency with property management systems (e.g., Yardi) are required; the role emphasizes collaboration within the team and with residents to maintain occupancy goals and compliant operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3-5+ years of affordable housing experience
- 3+ years HUD experience in project-based Section 8 compliance
- Experience with leasing, collections, and compliance processes
- Experience with Yardi or similar property management systems
