Job Summary
Assistant General Manager in a high-rise senior living community guides daily operations under the General Property Manager. Responsibilities include supervising rent collection, lease renewals, rent increases, and HUD-related paperwork; processing EIV and HUD/VHDA/TRACS reports; maintaining resident files per HUD/VA Housing; managing move-ins/outs and the waitlist; ensuring resident retention and security; coordinating with residents, staff, and vendors; overseeing training and development of staff; and supporting resident events. Requires HUD/Tax Credit experience, strong Excel and Yardi proficiency, excellent organization, and effective communication across all levels.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of HUD and/or Tax Credit background
- Bachelor's degree, ARM, CPM, or CAM certification preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Yardi software
- Excellent organizational and written/comms skills
- Ability to communicate with management, residents, owners, vendors, and staff
- Ability to conduct oneself professionally in emergency situations
- Prolonged walking and standing
