Assistant Property Manager

Job Summary

Coordinate leasing events, open houses, and resident tours while tracking inquiries and screening applications. Manage resident services programming, answer phones, and mediate tenant disputes. Oversee security deposit administration, including unit inspections and refund processing. Maintain filing systems for accounting, vendors, and contracts while processing expenditures. Track work orders, conduct move-in/out inspections, and document incidents for security and insurance. Prepare competitive marketing analyses and ensure compliance with leasing policies and fair housing laws. Maintain daily office coverage on weekends and holidays. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to travel between properties, and proficiency in Yardi.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 or more year's experience in multi-family property management
  • Requires a valid driver's license, an insured vehicle, and the ability to travel (between properties)
  • Ability to work periodic flexible hours
  • Ability to travel by plane and automobile
  • Ability to climb stairs, take elevators, bend, squat and reach overhead
  • Ability to work at property locations within or near transitional neighborhoods

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Experience with Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program and/or Hope 6 preferred
  • Knowledge of HUD programs including but not limited to HOPE 6 and project-based Section 8
  • Proficiency in Yardi preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
