Job Summary
Assistant Property Manager for a multifamily residential community supports the Property Manager in day-to-day financial, operational, and administrative functions, including rent collection, leasing support, financial reporting, and on-site supervision in the manager’s absence. Responsibilities include processing payments and deposits, accounts payable, month-end close-out tasks, lease processing and renewals, resident relations and inquiries, circulating notices, using property management software (Yardi/OneSite/MRI) for entry and reporting, ensuring compliance with policies and fair housing laws, coordinating with maintenance for unit turns, and providing performance updates to ownership.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of experience in multifamily property management
- Strong understanding of lease agreements, rent collection, and lease enforcement procedures
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Property Management software experience
- Comfortable with G/L postings, SODA (Security Deposit Accounting), and financial reconciliations
- Proficiency in social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) is preferred
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Must have a valid driver’s license
