Job Summary
Manage daily property operations by organizing viewings, handling resident relations, and coordinating maintenance work within 24 hours. Ensure accurate lease file maintenance, complete required reports, and collect rents while initiating eviction procedures for delinquent accounts. Inspect properties regularly to maintain curb appeal and compliance with HUD, Section 42, and other applicable regulations. Assist the Property Manager in audit preparations, manage staff in their absence, and process tenant applications with credit checks. Report all liability incidents immediately and ensure residents are provided with a clean, safe, and well-maintained home.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of HUD policies as well as Project Based Section 8 rules and regulations for Project-Based Affordable Housing
- Strong knowledge of Tax Credit/AHDP/HOME/Bond policies for Tax Credit/AHDP/HOME/Bond properties
- Previous experience in property management or real estate
- At least 1 year of affordable housing property management experience including HUD and project based section 8
- High school diploma/GED
- Degree in business, management or real estate
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds individually
- Ability to stand, bend, walk, sit, use hands and fingers to handle tools and controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs and ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus
- Ability to work indoors as well as in an outdoor environment
- Ability to be exposed to adverse weather conditions
- Ability to moderate to high noise level in the work environment
