Job Summary
Assistant Property Manager to manage day-to-day operation of assigned property, including rent collection, processing evictions and work orders, tenant communications, lease signing, vacancy management, move-in/move-out inspections, and recertification processes, ensuring compliance with HUD rules and regulations. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of related experience; certification as Public Housing Manager or equivalent within 12 months; strong knowledge of HUD policies, occupancy management, and property management software; proficient in Microsoft Office; excellent customer service and administrative capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in management, business administration, social science area, or closely related field
- one (1) year of experience in property management, marketing, sales or customer service
- working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- one (1) to (3) years experience in property management (preferred)
- knowledge of state and local landlord/tenant laws and HUD regulations (preferred)
- Must obtain certification as a Public Housing Manager, or equivalent, within twelve (12) months of employment
