Job Summary
Assistant Manager at Indian Run Apartments in Bridgeton, NJ, reporting to the Property Manager. Responsibilities include generating and completing resident renewals, collaborating with Marketing on retention campaigns, supporting the Property Manager and Regional Manager, ensuring timely rental and late fee postings, generating legal actions per state/company guidelines, representing the company professionally, ensuring leases and paperwork are completed accurately, maintaining resident files both digitally and physically, supporting staff to foster teamwork and a harmonious environment, maintaining community appearance and timely repair records, ensuring compliance with safety rules, directing staff to a 'safety first' approach, and performing other tasks as directed. Ideal candidate will have CALP credential preferred (not required), 1-2 years of customer service experience, strong communication and problem-solving abilities, ability to follow direction, and a proactive, professional demeanor; Fair Housing certification required prior to interaction with prospects or residents; experience with industry software (Yardi/OneSite; Entrata preferred); ability to work evenings/weekends.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years customer service experience
- CALP credential preferred, not required
- 1 year minimum industry experience or 2 years of customer service experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Yardi or OneSite; Entrata preferred not required
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Possession of reliable transportation
- High level communication and active listening skills
- Ability to follow directions and work with teams
- Positive attitude and composure in stressful situations
- Fair Housing certification prior to interaction with prospects or residents
