Job Summary
Collects and secures rental payments, scans daily bank deposits, and verifies deposit accuracy. Inputs activity transactions into Yardi, clears validations, and prepares accounting records including monthly close-outs. Delivers late rent notices, contacts residents with unpaid balances, and manages bad debt collection and eviction processes. Assists with leasing duties such as showing apartments and preparing leases, while handling work orders and resident service requests. Performs periodic inspections of common areas and vacant apartments to ensure market-ready status. Maintains organized community files, complies with Fair Housing and local regulations, and assumes Community Director duties as directed. Available for overtime, weekends, and travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mathematical skills (high school level) in order to calculate pro-rations, bank deposits, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficience in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), Outlook and internet
- Valid driver's license
- Must be available for overtime, weekend, holiday and evening work
- Must be willing to be assigned to other Highmark communities, as needed
- Must have reliable transportation in order to attend meetings, purchase and pick up supplies
- Must have mode of communication in which to be contacted at home and to respond in cases of emergency
Desired Qualifications
- Apartment management experience preferred
- Strong proficiency in property management software (preferably Yardi)
- Leadership and team-building skills
- Tax Credit experience preferred
