Job Summary
Administrative and customer-service focused Assistant Property Manager role supporting leasing, resident relations, rent collection, regulatory compliance, and financial operations at East Village (181-unit). Responsibilities include responding to inquiries, coordinating maintenance, processing applications, assisting with lease terminations, ensuring compliance with HUD/LIHTC/Section 8, supporting marketing and leasing activities to meet occupancy goals, conducting move-in/move-out inspections, and collaborating with maintenance and vendor teams. Requires organized, service-oriented professional who can balance administrative duties, regulatory requirements, and resident relations in a fast-paced, mission-driven housing environment. Experience with affordable housing programs and property management software (e.g., Yardi or Fortress) is a plus; strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Previous property management experience or closely related detail-oriented administrative experience required
- Experience with affordable housing programs such as Tax Credit and Project-Based Section 8 is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience with property management software such as Yardi or Fortress is a plus
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to conduct move-in/move-out inspections and coordinate with maintenance staff
