Assistant Property Manager (East Village)

Job Summary

Respond to resident, vendor, and management inquiries; enter and coordinate maintenance requests; and manage vendor access to the property. Provide onsite administrative support by answering phones, managing mail, maintaining filing systems, and accurately entering applicant and resident information into the property management system. Support rent collection activities, process applications, and conduct move-in and move-out inspections while walking the property to identify safety concerns. Maintain compliance with HUD, LIHTC, and other affordable housing regulations by preparing recertification notices and resolving noncompliance events. This full-time role includes a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:30am to 5:00pm with flexibility for resident events. The position is open until filled at Aeon's East Village community in Minneapolis, MN.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, in person and through virtual platforms
  • Ability to work in environments with moderate noise levels
  • Monday – Friday schedule
  • 8:30am to 5:00pm
  • In-person role based at the assigned properties
  • Occasional work at Aeon's Central Office, training facilities, or other properties

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with affordable housing programs such as Tax Credit and Project-Based Section 8
  • Experience with Yardi, Fortress, or another property management software
  • Experience working with individuals experiencing or significantly impacted by mental health challenges, substance use, poverty, long-term homelessness, and trauma
