Job Summary
Support the Project Manager in managing projects from pre-construction through final delivery, including estimating, planning, and closeout. Assist in developing project schedules, budgets, and resource plans while tracking documentation such as RFIs, submittals, and change orders. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and asset teams to ensure timely material delivery and manage subcontractor performance through purchase orders. Contribute to estimating via quantity takeoffs and cost summaries, maintaining logs for schedule updates and procurement status. Collaborate with safety and quality teams to enforce compliance standards and resolve field issues, RFIs, and unforeseen challenges. This role requires two years of experience in project support within construction or power infrastructure, proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software like Primavera P6, and comfort working on-site. The ideal candidate possesses a background in construction management or electrical infrastructure projects with a desire to grow into a leadership role within the Infrastructure team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction management, Construction Science, Engineering or a related field is preferred
- Two (2) years of experience in project support roles within the construction or power infrastructure industry
- Understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing, particularly in electrical infrastructure
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
- A proactive approach to identifying problems and developing solutions
- Comfortable working on-site in field construction environments as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a Construction Management, Construction Science or Engineering degree
- experience with substations or electrical utility projects is a strong plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- scheduling software experience (Primavera P6, MS Project) is a plus
