Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary
Review field updates and coordinate documents, RFIs, submittals, and meeting notes to ensure the project team works from accurate information. Track material status, delivery dates, and procurement needs while preparing reports on schedule risks, change orders, and upcoming deadlines. Walk the site with leadership to understand construction progress, identify support requirements, and organize closeout documentation including punch lists and owner turnover packages. Support mission-critical electrical construction projects for data centers and critical facilities, ensuring alignment on drawings, submittals, and closeout requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of project documentation such as RFIs, submittals, schedules, meeting minutes, procurement logs, change orders, and closeout packages.
- Ability to read construction drawings and understand basic project sequencing.
- Strong follow-up habits, clear written communication, and the ability to manage multiple open items at once.
- Comfort working in both office and active construction site environments.
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Desired Qualifications
- Electrical construction experience, especially with power distribution, low voltage systems, controls, commissioning support, or data center environments.
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Accubid, or similar construction tools.
- Internship, co-op, field, estimating, project engineering, or assistant project management experience with an electrical contractor.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
