Assistant Project Manager / Project Engineer - Water/Wastewater - Asheville, NC

Job Summary
Coordinate daily project duties by expediting material procurement, approving deliveries, and preparing submittals while maintaining project files, drawings, and schedule records. Observe and correct safety and quality violations on-site, assist with material billing, and analyze costs for change orders. Build and maintain positive relationships with trade partners to recover fair compensation for scope changes. Travel to multiple job sites and offices, performing physical inspections that may involve climbing ladders, stairs, and scaffolding under varying weather conditions. Requires a Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, which may include Computer Science, Business, or Engineering
- Must be able to perform at all project management levels
- Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, as assigned
- Must be able to inspect all ongoing construction activities over the duration of the assigned project
- Must be able to climb ladders, stairs, and scaffolding
- Must be able to walk over varied terrain
- Must be able to stoop, bend, and lift
- Must be able to climb
- A valid state-issued driver's license is required
- Authorized to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- At least three years of related experience is preferred
- Procore a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
