Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary
Coordinate submittals, manpower, staffing, resources, change orders, project tracking, and documentation while assisting Project Managers with system integration projects. Develop project proposals by determining time frames, costs, procedures, staffing requirements, and resource allotments. Purchase parts, supplies, and technical instrumentation per specifications, maintain job hazard analyses, and act as a liaison for inter-departmental coordination. Review change orders to maintain profitability and budget constraints, prepare project reports for management and stakeholders, and participate in review meetings with contractors and customers. Fill in for Project Managers during meetings as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management, project management, engineering, or related field
- 3 years full-time architecture, pre-construction, construction, or related field
- Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to apply technological solutions to planning or implementation assignments
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with industry tools and references including estimating (RS Means or similar) and scheduling tools (MS Project or similar)
- CAD or BIM based programs
- visual communication software (Bluebeam or similar)
- project tracking and document control software (Procore or similar)
- Strong understanding of programming, design, and construction principles
- Previous experience in industrial automation
- Experience with Team and customer meetings generating RFI's, Action Item List and Meeting Minutes
- Experience utilizing customer portals for project documentation such as Procore
- Controls System knowledge of Rockwell hardware and AVEVA Software
- Datacenter BMS and EPMS Equipment knowledge
- Experience working with Electrical installation contractors
