Job Summary
Set up, organize, and maintain the construction project filing system on server while entering, updating, and distributing submittals. Assemble contract and subcontract routing processes, including change orders, and issue letters of intent for major equipment and subcontractors. Process construction permits, create and validate purchase orders, and develop project plans that track risks and actions. Coordinate turnover meetings, assign project numbers, and manage certificates of insurance across departments. This role operates in both office and field environments and requires 2–4 years of experience in construction or project management. Preferred qualifications include OSHA 10 certification and PMP or CAPM designations.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in construction management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
- 2–4 years of experience in construction, project management, or administrative support
- Experience preferably in a mechanical, electrical, or specialty contracting environment
- Superior organizational and time management skills
- Proven ability to develop project plan, track progress, identify risks and actions
- Must be detail oriented
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Must possess the ability to multitask
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 10 general industry or construction awareness
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified associate in project management (CAPM) through PMI
