Job Summary
Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager in directing projects, maintaining cost/schedule/quality controls, and fostering owner and subcontractor relationships. Key duties include coordinating project activities, preparing/attending meetings and meeting minutes, managing RFI’s and submittals with the PM and Superintendent, reviewing drawings and coordination with subcontractors, tracking submittals and deliveries, maintaining submittal logs, ensuring compliance with contract documents, pursuing permits, and supporting field staff while maintaining safety and efficiency. The role requires strong communication, proficiency with MS Office, familiarity with Primavera P6 and construction-management software, and the ability to collaborate across project teams. Travel is preferred but not required. The position is in-person located in Baton Rouge, LA, with relocation required before starting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook, etc.) required
- Experience with Primavera P6 preferred
- Experience with construction management/estimating software preferred
- Strong Communication skills required
- Ability to work effectively with multiple individuals in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel preferred but not required
