Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary
Assist in overseeing all phases of construction for school and university projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and closeout. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to maintain project schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks. Prepare and maintain project documentation (RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, status reports). Track and manage budgets, change orders, and cost projections to meet financial goals. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for educational facilities. Participate in site meetings with clients, architects, engineers, and project teams to align goals and resolve issues. Support safety protocols and quality control inspections to uphold high standards. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide project updates and address questions or concerns.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of construction experience with educational facility projects (K-12 or higher education)
- Strong familiarity with construction management software
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of Ohio building codes, safety standards, and ADA compliance for educational facilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ambition to grow into a Project Manager role
