Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary

Oversee projects from start to finish by coordinating labor, materials, and equipment toward successful completion. Manage Requests for Information (RFIs), project submittals, and document control while performing preliminary scheduling and reviewing plans. Coordinate with designers, prime contractors, subcontractors, and superintendents to monitor conditions, submit change proposals, and maintain registries for change orders and submittals. Ensure proper project close-out, including handoff to the warranty department and submission of warranty letters. This hybrid role requires travel up to 25% domestically and internationally. OSHA30 certification and proficiency in ProCore, MS Project, and Asana are essential.

Required Qualifications

  • Organizational, analysis, problem-solving, and cognitive abilities
  • Computer, internet, and software knowledge and skills
  • Communication skills via different means (phone, video conference, email, IM, etc.)
  • Intermediate accounting, research, report development, and documentation skills
  • Prioritization and multi-tasking between changing priorities
  • Basic human resource management if personnel are supervised
  • Basic knowledge of state/federal OSHA and other key regulations/compliance laws
  • Basic purchasing, record keeping, and contract management knowledge
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and skills in ProCore
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and skills in Critical Path method
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and skills in Cost Controls
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and skills in Interpreting plans and specifications
  • Basic knowledge of Scheduling Software—MS Project
  • Basic knowledge of Manpower planning, interpersonal communication, and deployment (i.e., managing people)
  • Basic knowledge of Construction principles, methods, and practice
  • OSHA30 certification
  • Be available to travel up to 25%, as necessary
  • The employee must be able to obtain a passport and available to travel both domestically and internationally, when needed
  • The employee must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally move up to 100 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
