Job Summary
Entry-level Assistant Project Manager to support program coordination and field operations in Birmingham, AL; responsibilities include maintaining project schedules and milestone logs, tracking manufacturing and subcontractor buyout status, routing drawings/specs/RFI/submittals/change directives to the right people, supporting module transfers and project handoffs, participating in weekly coordination meetings, and assisting with on-site field support during module installation, punch, and key construction milestones. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience), 0-2 years of relevant construction/project management experience, ability to read construction drawings and specifications, strong Microsoft Excel skills, familiarity with scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, or Smartsheet), proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam, and willingness to travel 25-50%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (equivalent experience considered)
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in construction, manufacturing, or project management
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Working proficiency in Microsoft Excel — formulas, sorting and filtering, basic pivot tables
- Familiarity with at least one scheduling platform: MS Project, Primavera P6, or Smartsheet
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Bluebeam
- Willingness and ability to travel 25-50%
