Assistant Project Manager - Hybrid

Job Summary
Maintain single point accountability for project work by monitoring multiple accounts, managing client and vendor interactions, and preparing feedback on construction documents. Generate space layouts for retail clients, create project designs using CAD or REVIT, and conduct field surveys independently or with team support. Assist the Project Manager in managing account profitability, reviewing timesheets and invoices, scheduling manpower, and handling administrative tasks like change orders and RFP audits. Interpret and apply National and Local Codes while responding to inquiries from clients and regulatory agencies. Provide assistance within the team to meet account needs, including overtime if required, with 10% travel time.
Required Qualifications
- 10% Travel time
- Bachelor's in Architecture
- four year degree in Architecture or Design
- Minimum five year" experience, "One year of experience performing site surveys and completing site observations
- Three to five years of professional experience
- ten years of comparable experience
- some industry related college courses
- A general understanding of energy calculations and the impact of the projects
- The ability to work with, interpret, and apply National and Local Codes
- Working within a team to achieve team goals
- Requires a high level of creativity in solving design and construction issues
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously at varying stages, with little supervision
- Strong knowledge of architectural assemblies, mechanical, electrical & plumbing components and systems
- Basic understanding of management and administrative functions such as change orders, account profitability, timesheets, project correspondence and scope of contract work
- Ability to communicate effectively both in written format and oral presentation
- Demonstrates that the client is comfortable working with them, with continuing interaction
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
- Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment
- Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership
- Ability to audit RFP's for scope, services and cost
- Possess thorough knowledge of contract administration and office procedures
- Ability to develop and manipulate construction details as required for the project
- A strong knowledge of drafting using AutoCAD (office is currently using 2022) and/or REVIT to complete project requirements
- Ability to respond to common inquiries from clients, regulatory agencies or members of the business and general community at large
