Job Summary
Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of commercial construction projects. The role focuses on planning, coordinating, and executing projects across preconstruction through closeout, with hands-on experience in estimating, contract administration, scheduling, and cost control. Key duties include assisting in planning and managing projects, tracking schedules and budgets, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, preparing and maintaining contracts and submittals, managing change orders and documentation, conducting site visits for quality control, supporting design reviews for constructability and compliance, ensuring adherence to codes and safety standards, participating in project meetings, and helping drive process improvements. The role emphasizes collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders, attention to detail, and growth toward a Project Manager position, utilizing tools such as Procore and Bluebeam and standard MS Office applications.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in commercial construction or project coordination
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Detail-oriented with analytical/problem-solving abilities
- Self-starter with collaborative mindset
- Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project)
- Understanding of construction processes, safety standards, and building codes
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work in an active construction environment and travel to job sites as required
