Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary
Provide general management for mechanical construction builds and support the Project Manager through bid stages to completion. Track long-lead material releases for electrical and mechanical gear to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. Contact vendors to verify submittal and equipment timelines, while participating in scheduling activities and weekly sync meetings to communicate project needs. Interact with internal and external customers, including general contractors, to monitor job progress and promote safe behavior. Work Monday through Friday between 6 am and 6 pm with 10-20% travel. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering and 1-2 years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management/Mechanical Engineering
- 1-2 years Construction/Mechanical/Manufacturing experience
- Must be able to travel 10-20%
- Must be available to work between the hours of 6 am and 6 pm, Monday through Friday
- Must be able to interact with internal and external customers (production, VSL, customers and general contractors)
- Must be able to ensure proper job progress and to support and encourage safe behavior
- Must be able to perform other related duties as required and assigned
- Must be able to pass E-Verify
