Job Summary
Assistant Project Manager to support engineering and technical delivery for infrastructure projects. The role provides technical design oversight of engineering plans, calculations, and reports, conducts programmatic reviews of submittals for quality and conformance, performs independent QA inspections, and supports analysis of documents to ensure compliance with design criteria, contracts, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include coordinating with internal/external stakeholders, providing feedback on innovative technical approaches to meet milestones, assisting with documentation and filing in electronic repositories, reviewing configuration documents, identifying project risks, and supporting contract management across multidisciplinary teams in a complex high-speed rail environment.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency
- Civil Engineering bachelor's degree or equivalent (preferred)
- 15+ years of civil engineering experience including 5+ years of high-speed rail experience (preferred)
- Ability to apply engineering judgment in design of high-speed rail projects
- Knowledge of high-speed rail project development and delivery; contracting laws and regulations
- Experience in project management and leading multi-discipline teams
