Job Summary
Coordinate safety meetings, incident investigations, and employee involvement to maintain a secure work environment. Assist the Project Manager with project pricing, budgeting, estimating, detailing, subcontractor management, and schedule execution for HVAC and plumbing installations. Prepare vendor purchase orders, submittals, and shop drawings while participating in monthly cost reviews to ensure projects finish on time and under budget. Actively contribute to change order estimating, project documentation, and close-out processes including commissioning requirements. This role involves 40-60% travel to job sites and requires a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering with 0-2 years of industry experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering
- 0-2 years' experience in the industry
- Thorough knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods
- Ability to read construction plans and specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of the industry and the Company's competitors
- Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
- 40-60% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location
