Job Summary
Lead project coordination by partnering with the Project Manager to guide Project Engineers and Coordinators, facilitate team meetings, and manage close-out documents. Partner with the scheduling department to gather data for CEI schedules, identify cost impacts from RFIs and design changes, and price change orders for approval. Maintain strong vendor and subcontractor partnerships by coordinating accurate material releases, tracking deliveries against the construction schedule, and managing open commissioning items with third parties. Serve as the go-to resource for resolving issues and improving project processes. This role offers deep technical learning within a larger project team, supported by a Project Manager, to prepare for future Project Manager responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid state-issued driver's license
- Satisfactory driving record
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Three (3) or more years of experience specifically as a Project Engineer in electrical construction, or MEP experience in general contracting
- Minimum five (5)+ years of related experience, including some time managing smaller projects
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or similar
- Prior experience working on semi-remote jobsites, supervising others
- Renewables/Large Electrical/Data Center build experience
- Good working knowledge of MS applications including Excel
- Prior experience in electrical estimating and the ability to accurately estimate change order pricing
- Experience with Accubid estimating software
- Scheduling ability with Microsoft Projects and/or Primavera P6
- Knowledge of Electrical Code and Civil Construction
