Job Summary
Assistant Project Manager responsible for designing, implementing and testing system software (including user interface, database, control logics, batch layer) and supporting Lead Engineer on medium to large projects. Requires knowledge of DCS/PLC systems and exposure to S88 architecture; hands-on Batch process applications in Biotech, Pharma, F&B, and terminal automation. Develops and follows GDP/Good Documentation Practices, prepares design and test documents, interprets functional requirements into detailed designs, develops configuration and test guidelines, and participates in FAT/SAT/Commissioning. Willingness to travel to customer sites or Emerson overseas offices for short/long term. Applies QA/IMS processes, regulatory guidelines, and a first-time-right approach. Performs other duties as assigned. Relevant exposure to Modbus, Profibus, OPC, DeltaV, and validation activities; strong written and verbal communication; MS Office proficiency; and a degree in Instrumentation & Electronics or related field are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 to 7 years' experience in DCS system software configuration and test; PLC configuration knowledge preferable.
- Experience in DCS - Software configuration and test, (Batch and S88 Applications desirable).
- Conducting FAT / SAT
- Experience in Third party interfaces (Modbus, Profibus, OPC etc.).
- Knowledge on Validation aspects (desirable).
- Experience in Tools usage: MS-Office (Word, Excel, Access, etc.)
