Job Summary
Coordinate safety meetings, incident investigations, and employee involvement to maintain a secure work environment. Assist the Project Manager with obtaining pricing, budgeting, estimating, detailing, and managing subcontractors and vendors. Work with the team to ensure HVAC and plumbing installations meet code, project requirements, and budget constraints. Prepare vendor purchase orders, submittals, and shop drawings while participating in monthly cost reviews to track deviations. Support estimating change orders, project documentation, and close-out activities including commissioning. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering with 0-2 years of industry experience. Salary range is $27.92 - $37.29 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering
- 0-2 years' experience in the industry
- Thorough knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods
- Ability to read construction plans and specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of the industry and the Company's competitors
- Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
- Climbing stairs
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
- Medium work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds
- Will only be working on this job site(s)/office location
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in processing submittals
- Experience in heavy commercial construction
- Hands-on experience in craft supervision and labor coordination
