Job Summary
Assistant Data Center Construction Project Manager to support Onsite PM for regional data center construction projects. Responsibilities include maintaining liaison with contractors and vendors, ensuring day-to-day project responsibilities are met, assisting with managing multiple projects, creating and managing project schedules and plans (costs, budget, timeline, change orders), assisting with reporting and RFPs to Contractors, delivering Built to Suit projects with emphasis on value-engineering, driving Company Standards in Project Delivery, managing financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, equipment rental, income/expenses), representing the company in project meetings, liaising with department managers, and maintaining logs to track project progress. Qualifications emphasize experience in data center construction, client-facing skills, familiarity with MEP/CSA trades, design process knowledge for data centers, strong PM experience, communication skills, independence, strong admin capabilities, and bonus experience with Autodesk/REVIT/AutoCAD, MS Project, P6 Primavera, and veteran experience in electrical/mechanical fields.
Required Qualifications
- Experience supporting Data Center Construction Projects as a General Contractor
- Minimum of 2-5 years relevant experience in the Data Center Construction Industry
- Client Facing / Client relationship / Client Management skills
- Experience working in or with trades that are MEP or CSA
- Familiar with the design process of building systems for data center and mission critical projects
- Solid Construction Project Management experience
- Effective Communicator – emails, phone and face to face
- Ability to work independently
- Solid Admin skills
- Experience writing / following revising MOPs and SOPs for critical MEP systems a HUGE plus
- Experience with Autodesk, REVIT, AutoCAD a HUGE plus
- Computer savvy: MS Project, P6 Primavera, Excel a plus
- Attention to detail
- Previous military/veteran experience with Electrical/Mechanical is a HUGE plus
