Job Summary
Support Project Managers in the execution of assigned development and construction projects by conducting field observations, tracking schedules, and managing submittals and permit issuance. Identify project risks affecting schedule, cost, quality, or scope, and coordinate around inspections to verify contractor compliance. Review specifications and plans for inconsistencies, assist with cost impact reviews and change orders, and maintain weekly and monthly reporting for stakeholders. Build relationships with jurisdictional contacts, consultants, contractors, and internal teams while providing guidance to junior members. Requires 2–4 years of construction experience and familiarity with project management software. Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in construction, development, project coordination, or a related field
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, technical reports, project specifications, and municipal codes
- Working knowledge of construction processes, sequencing, and field coordination
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements related to site safety
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Sound interpersonal skills and professional judgment when working with internal and external partners
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Experience with project or development-related software such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, and/or Bluebeam
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- Interest in learning all aspects of the development and construction process, including CEQA and technical studies
