Assistant Project Manager (Commercial Construction)

Job Summary
Assist with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and day-to-day project execution on commercial construction projects; support estimating, takeoffs, bid coordination, and subcontractor outreach; manage smaller projects independently from kickoff through closeout; coordinate subcontractors, vendors, owners, and internal stakeholders; track costs, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation; maintain accurate project records in Procore; attend project meetings and visit job sites as needed; help ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- 2-5+ years of commercial construction experience as an APM, Project Engineer, or similar
- Exposure to both project management and estimating
- Strong understanding of construction documentation, schedules, budgets, and subcontractor coordination
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Clear communication and strong organizational skills
- Self-starter mindset and comfort working on a smaller, team-oriented staff
