Job Summary
Assistant Project Manager for a commercial construction general contracting firm. Responsibilities include collecting, reviewing & distributing submittals; reading & comprehending plans & specs; drafting subcontract and PO scopes from plans & specs; updating and maintaining project directories in Procore; tracking plan design changes and associated costs; assisting the estimating team with bid qualification; coordinating with the superintendent to track logs/spreadsheets for subcontractor charges; processing subcontractor change orders; coordinating and updating project schedules in Microsoft Project and Procore; taking detailed notes at weekly OAC meetings and updating minutes; pre-construction and closeouts; ensuring safety compliance; and performing other project administrative tasks as requested by the Project Manager or Superintendent. Qualifications include a college degree (Construction Management is a plus) and OSHA 30, knowledge of horizontal and vertical construction (MEP), ability to read plans and specs, strong organizational skills, Procore proficiency, MS Project proficiency, problem-solving, multi-project management, and a Texas driver’s license.
